The Challenge: Workers Temporary Agency hires skilled and unskilled labor throughout the State of Florida. At the end of the day the workers are often paid for that days work. With dozens of offices around the state, tracking and reporting on work done became a monstrous task. Plus, since the old system was centralized if there was a technical problem at the main office, all other offices were suddenly shut down. In essence the entire company dropped to its knees if there was a technical glitch.
The Resolution: Working in tandem with Salty Dog Software, a software package was created that would track all employees, their history, skills, bonuses, etc. and allow anyone across the state instant access to this information. The data was replicated across all sites in real time allowing for fail-over and autonomy. Should the main office or another office have technical difficulties, the problem was isolated to that location only. And if necessary, an office could connect to a server in another office if theirs should fail.
